I’m Ret. Sgt. Salvatore DiCiaccio, founder of SafeGuard Strategies, and I bring 25 years of law-enforcement experience to the work I do today, including approximately 20 years serving on a SWAT team.
Throughout my career, I served as a SWAT Team Leader, active-shooter instructor, and detective/investigator, and I was also involved in security operations for dignitaries. Those experiences taught me the importance of preparation, leadership, situational awareness, and making sound decisions when seconds matter.
But my motivation for starting SafeGuard Strategies goes far beyond my professional experience. I’m a husband and a father of a teenager and a child with special needs, and family safety has always been one of my highest priorities. My children are what ultimately motivated me to start this company. As a father, I know that protecting the people we love isn’t something we should only think about after something happens. We need to prepare before it does.
I created SafeGuard Strategies because I want to take the knowledge and experience I’ve gained throughout my career and use it to help families, schools, businesses, and organizations become more aware, more prepared, and more confident when faced with an unexpected threat.
For me, SafeGuard Strategies is’t simply a business. It’s a way to turn my experience into something that can help protect other families and communities.
My philosophy is simple: lead from the front, prepare before the crisis, and never stop learning.

Our approach goes beyond traditional active-shooter training. We combine situational awareness, threat recognition, emergency response, defensive strategies, and basic trauma preparedness into one practical, easy-to-understand program.

SafeGuard 360° is a comprehensive personal and family safety preparedness program designed to help participants recognize risks, identify vulnerabilities, and develop practical strategies for protecting themselves, their families, and their homes.
Drawing on real-world law-enforcement experience, the program combines situational awareness, home security, emergency preparedness, family safety, abduction awareness, fraud prevention, and emergency decision-making into one practical and engaging seminar.
